Anyone else a first time mommy and isn't having a baby shower because you don't have enough friends & family?

I lost most of my friends from high school and the ones I have left probably wouldn't show. My family used to be huge but due to alcohol and crazy family issues we've all turned our backs on each other. My mom talks about throwing me a shower but she's extremely unreliable and well known for lying and breaking promises so I'm not getting my hopes up. My boyfriend & I are doing everything we can to make sure our baby has what she needs but its just depressing to realize that very few people truly care about me.

Sorry if I sound like a brat, it really has nothing to do with the gifts... I could careless about that. Just pregnancy hormones making me all emotional about things I normal bottle up inside.
