My daughter got diagnosed with moderate sensorineural hearing loss today.

We did the auditory brainstem response hearing test that apparently could take up to 3 hours... we were there for over 5 😳

She is hard of hearing in both ears.

45/55 in her left

55/65 in right

She’s going to need hearing aids at 3 months and will need speech therapy etc.

I was soo shocked and really thought she’d pass this time. She can hear loud noises and gets startled when the dog barks and stuff. Apparently she can hear us talking when we’re close to her but she can’t hear it well.

Looks like we’ll be starting a new journey with this little one. My oldest has autism and adhd so I’ve dealt with having a child with a disability already but it’s still a little scary and unknown.
