It really depends. I met my now husband when I was 16. But I had no clue that we would end up married. But every other high school relationship before him had sucked so I figured it would be like the others and I would end up hurt. I was very wrong and he ended up being the most amazing man I had ever met.  We married young (I was 18) but so far we are doing amazing been married almost two years now. So I think there is a chance you could know he's the one.  But give it some years before you do anything about it haha

There are a lot of things that go into whether you have found the person you want to marry. Age is one of those things, but it's not everything. That being said, there is a reason you have to be 18 to get married. At 16 you are not mature enough to choose the person you want to spend forever with. Is he the person you will marry? He definitely could be! And it is so much fun to dream and think about it, just keep in mind there are so many different types of people out there. You have college ahead of you and could meet some really great people just keep an open mind! But nothing wrong with dreaming about him being your forever

I thought that when I was 16 too and thank god that didn't happen!! On the other hand I know 2 sets of high school sweethearts that got married right away after HS and are still together now, 10 years later. Several others I went to high school with got married at various times and about half are divorced already. But I may not have the best answer... I'm 28 and I've been engaged twice (I broke it off both times).
