TSA scanner safe?

I'm flying tomorrow and haven't flown pregnant since these new body scanners. I've read there are two different types one which is a low level radiation. Anyone opted for a pat down or had any experience with this?

You'll be absolutely fine. I'm literally sitting in the airport right now. You're worse off on your cellphone.

I always opt out, pregnant or not :).. and the last time I did it, I was surprised that the woman patting me down said (her opinion, for whatever it's worth), "yeah, I don't go through those scanners.. and I definitely wouldn't recommend that anyone pregnant go through them. I don't think there's been enough research done about their safety, best not to risk it."

The scanner is perfectly safe, there is no radiation. You get 10x more radiation from being on your cellphone.

I opted out. It's annoying to wait, but I am glad I did. Not worth the risk.

I just did a female opt out at LAX. It's annoying waiting for someone to come do it but when they finally do it, it's so quick and easy. I heard the radiation is low but why take the risk when you don't need to?
