How much does a gyno visit usually cost? :/

I'm 19 and going to the gyno for the first time tomorrow by myself and I have no idea what to expect :( is it pricy? What's it like??

Planned parenthood has low-cost or free well woman exams and STD testing, if there are any clinics in your area. They also take most insurance plans. As for what it is like, they will ask you some questions about your sex life and if you have certain symptoms. They will probably have you pee in a cup for a pregnancy test, esp if you are asking to get on birth control. The pelvic exam isn't too bad for a regular Pap smear, they will use a speculum (it's like a hollow penis) that will open at the end and allow them to use a small brush to take a cell sample from your cervix. They may also put a gloved finger inside you while pressing down near your ovaries to check for cysts. Test results for your pap and if you choose STD testing will come back in 5-10 days.

If you don't have insurance I know urgent care/clinics are usually between $50-80 for a visit, but I'm not sure about an actual gynecologist, they probably vary, and it depends if you have tests done etc. But if you have insurance it should cover at least most of it.
