So at my last appointment my ob and I discussed 2 possible dates for my induction (but also discussed that he could come before then too) and the two dates were the 16th or the 23rd (a day after my due date). I couldn't schedule for the 16th due to my husband having an appointment out of town only 2 days after that, so he said he could try for the 23rd and he wrote it down.

I didn't have a cervix exam or an ultrasound done or anything, so I don't know what to expect at this appointment.

I'm kind of hoping that when I go, he will have his nurse call and schedule for an induction on the 23rd and I'm hoping he will at least check my cervix so I will know if I'm dilating (if not the induction process can take longer) but with each appointment past 37 weeks I've went in with expectations and this one I'm going to try to not to in with any expectations. The only thing I hope happens is that I get a for sure scheduled date and maybe a cervix exam to see if I have made progress towards delivery (mainly because it would make me feel better if I go in to be induced and I'm already dilated a little knowing that my body was sort of ready compared to going in with no effacement or dilation and having to wait out the entire process)

Hopefully everything goes good tomorrow and I leave with peace of mind and some idea of what will be going on 🤞🏻🤞🏻
