Eating disorders causing miscarriages

A girl I went to highschool with and was friends with was anorexic. After she got married it got worse and she posted on Facebook about how she was getting better and now weighed 96lbs. She's 5'6" . then a couple of weeks ago she sadly posted that she had a miscarriage. If you don't act on an eating disorder while pregnant can that cause a miscarriage or do you still have to act on it for it to cause a miscarriage? Idk if that made sense.
