Anyone else's toddler experience nosebleeds from motrin?
My 2 year old son is cutting two molars. I couldn't find his tylenol, so he got motrin instead. Now, I've only given my kids motrin one other time and that was last year when they got the flu. We didn't experience any side effects from it then.
But I gave him motrin at 7:00 pm Sunday night. He went to bed at 8. And since he has been getting out of bed at night, I checked his camera at 8:30 to make sure he was still in bed and noticed he was pooping. Waited ten minutes, went in and his nose was bleeding. I took a picture for the pediatrician and then changed his diaper, cleaned him up, and put him back to bed.

Last time I checked on him was 12:30. He was asleep and he hadn't had another nosebleed. When he woke up the next morning (6 am), he was covered in dried blood so he had a nosebleed in the middle of the night and fresh blood from a current nosebleed.
Cleaned him up and rang the pediatrician. Pediatrican said it was likely the motrin and if he got more than 2 that day or any after 7 pm (24 hours after I gave him the motrin) to bring him in the next day. I sent him the photo and he said it was not too much blood. He got one more nosebleed at 5:30 with about the same amount of blood as the first time. But he didn't have another one. Called the pediatrician again Tuesday morning to update him about the 5:30 nosebleed. But he said since he hadn't had another one, he was fine and that it was most likely the motrin.
I did look it up and apparently nosebleeds can be a side effect of infant/children's motrin and any other NSAID. Has this happened to anyone else? It's Wednesday now. He hasn't had another nosebleed since Monday's evening nosebleed so I assume the pediatrician is right and it was the motrin.
