Waiting on the dr to call back
**update- Tylenol is bringing his fever down, and his doctor mentioned how its most likely his molars coming in. He started rubbing his mouth earlier like he did when his other teeth came in. 😰 he got low fevers with those. But yeah this winter is going to be awful :(
My 2 year old son has been acting fine until last night after his bath. Which he is still acting fine, but he started running a 101.4 temp. I thought maybe he was warm because of the outfit he had on so I took off everything and put some shorts on him. I gave him Tylenol, and it went down so we went to bed. I woke up to him being really warm again this morning. I called his doctor and I’m waiting on her to call back.
I’m a nervous wreck right now. I feel like a terrible mom if he has covid. I did social distancing when we went out, I wiped carts down, handle the sides, the sides of the seat, anywhere he would touch, several times with sanitizing wipes before I sat him in the cart the few times we did go out, and usually put a blanket over the cart handle too, he’d take his mask off most of the time- but sometimes he’d wear it, I avoided aisles that had a lot of people and didn’t go in to stores when they were busy. I washed our hands constantly. 😰
As I was typing his doctor called and said it could possibly be hand foot and mouth because he developed a random diaper rash the other day and to use Tylenol. She said that can sometimes be an indicator of HFM is a diaper rash before the fever.
I looked at pictures of that, and that looks really painful. If he has that will he get painful blisters all over? 😣
He acts fine, no coughing or anything like that.
He also keeps playing with his belly button? But I’m assuming that’s a self soothing thing.
