Slappy Baby
Hey parents! I have a problem and idk how to solve it. My 10 month old is slap happy. He slaps me in the face and sometimes my husband as well (he leaned in for a kiss this morning and got a right hand to the cheek instead). Hes also slapped his play mate 3 times in the face. We say stop but he doesn't always get it of course. My mom recommend lightly swatting his hand and saying no, but he just giggles and that just taught him to slap hands too, and I don't like the feeling of swatting his hands. I've read to grab his hands and show him the nice things to do like rubbing my face or distancing from him. Saying "No that hurts". He barely understands no, I can see he's just learning (we tell him no when he throws toys and he will put them down and look at us for a "good job" or something like that). Please help. I would like to not worry about him hitting others and not getting slapped when I give him kisses.
