Frustrated, still no period.

Stopped taking BC pills in September. Had a period right after , guess a withdrawal bleed. I haven't bled since.. Last week of October tested my blood, negative for pregnancy and doctor didn't see my menstrual coming anytime soon. I spotted Nov 10-13. Just brown blood when I wiped then red that final day. Few days later I'm back to just spotting and blood when I wipe. Not enough to wear pantyliners or tampons.. I haven't taken a test since my blood test came back negative . how long should I wait to take another home test? We are really trying to conceive. Help.
