Feeling Depressed& lonely.. help

My husband and I met when we were kids (12 & 13) while on vacation, we became best friends and fell in love at 21 years old. We're happily married, no kids. I'm very in love with him, he treats me like a queen as best as he can. But the problem is he's back home (Caribbean) and I'm here (Canada). It's so hard living without him and just longing to be with him. I go to college here and Canada is my home. He needs a visa to come here so we applied in the summer but he didn't get through because of my part.. I don't have enough funds to support him and I didn't write the letter right. Can someone please offer advice on what to do or how to help him get here. It's so depressing and it's beginning to show in my school work
