Just a little back story, my husband and I have had cattle, ducks and chickens prior to having kids and have now been animal-less for almost 3 years. Our cattle escaping their fence is what sent me into labor with my August kiddo. Horns and balls = not good for even electric fences......Anyways, just curious to see if anyone else had farm animals and how their kid does with them/helping care for them etc. I'm asking now because our coop will need a good cleaning and I want to do it this fall before spring babies. We will probably start with chickens again and see what we can manage after that. My son loves animals and already is helping with tasks with our 2 dogs. I'm hoping he will help collect eggs daily but I'm being realistic and thinking this may be too early.

I don't know..... thoughts?
