The day my life changed...

Michele • Proud momma bear of my angel baby 👼 Constance Cheyanne Kay and 2 fur babies, Emma Ray and Bandit!!! Looking forward to expanding our family... 🦋

16 years ago I was a 18 year old that thought I knew everything. Boy was I wrong...

16 years ago today my life changed, I gave birth to my amazing babygirl Constance.

Unfortunately things wasn't all rainbows and butterflies. CC was born with CMV (Cytomegalovirus). 98% of the world population has this virus and it doesn't affect them. I contracted the virus when I was pregnant so I didn't have a antibodies to fight the virus. To me it was just a cold, to my unborn child it was way more. CC was completely deaf in her left and needed a hearing aid for her right. She also was born with cerebral palsy. She went through physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy to name a few.

But she didn't let anything hold her back. If she wanted something, she'd go get. She learned just like any other child. She was smart and talented. I was so proud of her every minute of every day. She was my life and I would do anything for her.

Today we would have been going out shopping, getting our hair and nails done and having the best 16th birthday ever.

But God had other plans. 12 years ago he took her home. She did what God sent her here to do and it was time for her to go home. My heart breaks everyday, thinking of how amazing she would be. How she would be so much like me. And how my husband would have been a great step-dad to her. She is still my heart and I miss her terribly.

Today is her sweet 16 and we should be having a huge party. But instead we're celebrating her life, as short as it was, she changed so many people's lives. She taught me how to be a mom, a person with compassion and respect. I wouldn't be me without her. I owe her everything so I live for her. I continue to live for her and will always live for her.

HAPPY SWEET 16 Angel!!! Mommy loves and misses you so much!!!
