Baby Isla Winter born!

Yeardley

So my baby was born a week ago, but I thought that I’d update, since it was completely different than my first labor!

Saturday Sept. 5th, I thought my water broke at around 11:30 pm. I waited for contractions to start to know if it really was my water. No contractions throughout the next day either. After going through my box of pads I had just bought for after baby, (36 hrs after) I decided to go to the hospital on Monday (Labor Day!)

The hospital tested me and sure enough it was my water that had broken! Still no contractions. I was given pitocin, opted for an epidural this time around and had my baby girl at 1:45 am on Tuesday sept 8th!

With my first baby, my water broke, went to the hospital, and delivered only after 3 hrs. This time, was completely different. Granted, it had been 13 years since my first labor, but it’s funny how different the two were. What I learned is that every delivery is different, and you cannot compare the experience you will have. Also, if you think your water has broken, always go to the hospital. I waited for contractions that didn’t come, good thing I had went in when I did because it turns out my water did break.

Isla Winter was born sept. 8th at 1:45 am, 7.13lbs, 20 inches, and I was 37 weeks pregnant.
