Neg. before AF is due, am I out?

Anybody gotten a negative test 4 days before AF is due but got a BFP later? Tested and I see nothing, still hopeful. CM is creamy still and my cervix went from high and soft to medium and firm. :/ hanging on to some hope that I'm not out this month.
