How much sex?

OK so my husband and I are recently trying to have baby #1! He is 20, I am 26. We have had sex everyday at least once - two times a day for a month. When y'all are trying so y'all just have sex all the time whenever you can or just when u think ur ovulating?

It only too once while I was ovulating and now I'm 6 weeks pregnant! 😁 all depends on the people individually.

Sex every other day is what doctors say is the best way to conceive as having sex daily or multiple times normally lowers the sperm count because it hasnt had enough time to build back up. Having sex not when your ovulating is still a good idea because sperm lives for a few days.

Sperm is constantly made, but the flagella are last to mature, so it can decrease motility. However, some studies to show that sex every day is beneficial/just as likely as every other day.

Also, a study in IKFS just came out that showed sex thruout the menstrual cycle is actually very beneficial because it teaches your adaptive immune system (the ones that respond to vaccines, create antibodies, etc) to ignore the sperm as a "foreign" substance, making it less likely to react and kill sperm during the fertile window.

Sperm can live inside a woman for up to 5 days.

They say its best to go every other day to give sperm time to build back up. Once a day is ok...twice a  day...not a great idea since the sperm do need some time to build back up
