Did they mess up my teeth

So a week ago I went to get fillings on my tooth n one side still feels uneven when I bite down and my bottom tooth hurts so bad when I drink something cold or eat, I have to chew on the other side. I was completely fine before that. That was my first time going there they were even testing something out on me they said 😐

Not normal. They did a shitty job. You should not be dealing with this a week out.

This is not unusual. When the fillings are placed you are numb and your bite can be slightly off when they do the final adjustments and bite check and polish. Most dentists will tell you just to call the office if you feel like anything is off with your bite after the numbing wears off. And the discomfort you are feeling on your bottom tooth can be due to the bite being off ( think like having a pebble in your shoe) Or, if it’s a tooth that they placed a filling in it is not unusual to have sensitivity for even 6-8 weeks afterwards. It’s only a red flag if it persists or worsens at which point it could indicate that the nerve was compromised by the extent of decay in your tooth. But first thing to do would be to make sure it’s not your bite causing the discomfort. Just call your dentist and tell them your bite is feeling off since they completed the fillings and you’ve been experiencing sensitivity and they will get you in to adjust the fillings asap.

If it's uneven then they likely didn't file it down enough so when you bite down you are "bruising" the bottom tooth/top tooth because it is hitting first. You will need to call them and go back in. Your teeth are sensitive right now.
