Menstrual cup opinions

Question

So I've been thinking of switching to the cup but I wanted to know everyone's opinions. If you don't mind, could you share your opinions of it? Id appreciate both good and bad opinions. I want to know all the pros and cons of actual people who ain't gonna bullshit me.

I use the Diva cup just because it’s what I started with an like it. I highly recommend using a cup. It’s way better in so many ways. You can leave it in 8-12 hours instead of every 3-4. It’s environmentally friendly and body safe (a lot of tampons have so many chemicals that are bad for you). It’s super comfortable (don’t even notice that it’s in). And it works great for overnight, no more icky pads. 10/10 recommendation and would never go back to pads and tampons.

I used to have the diva cup and I like how it show you the measurements of menstrual blood. But when it come to the stem it's annoying as hell. So recently I use the Saalt Soft Cup and ever since then it doesn't irritates me and it's perfect for people who has a sensitive bladder. But it depends on the person though. So just make sure you don't have fibroids or endometriosis because I read that any menstrual cup will not work as well in those situations. Hope this helps

I really like this one. It’s medical grade silicone, woman owned company and they do a lot of education and outreach. Plus, they donate a cup to a woman in need for every cup purchased. I find the cup 100% more comfortable than a tampon, and it’s easy to use and clean. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a learning curve for sure, but this brand has great tutorials and excellent judgment free customer service. The number one concern I hear from folks is what to do in public restrooms. I have a small wet bag (a bag with a waterproof liner, you can get them at marleysmonsters.com) with cloth wipes in it and an extra cup. So I pull out the cup, dump the blood in the toilet, reinsert the old or new cup and wipe my vulva and hands like normal, then wash my hands. If you insert the new cup, the cloth wipes are for soaking up excess blood. The wet bag keeps moisture and smells inside and you’re good to go until you clean it at home, which is as easy as letting the cup sit in boiling water for a minute and letting it air dry. The bag can be wiped clean with soap and water, or tossed in the washing machine. My cramps got so much better when I wore a cup and it holds more blood. Hope this helps!
