Does your husband help out?

Wondering if any of your husbands ever get up in the morning to get LO while you sleep in?
My husband has done it maybe a few times (2-3 times) in 18 months. On nights I have an awful sleep (not because of LO, just tossing and turning, only getting a couple hours of good sleep) it would be so nice if my husband offered to let me sleep in and get up with our son. I even express how tired I am and he doesn't really care, I mentioned it would be so helpful if he got up sometimes and gave me a break. He got upset, called me a piece of shit and thanked me for calling him out and being a bad dad. He yelled, slammed the door and went to bed. I never once made those accusations, just said I would like a break sometimes.
Ridiculous.

Oh yes. Usually on weekends. But it’s not uncommon for him to do it during the week as well depending on his schedule. 
I’m sorry your husband is less than understanding. I look forward to those little breaks so much I can’t imagine not getting them.

Normally, we wake up together, we like to prepare and eat breakfast together and more now that we both were working from home (covid...) . But lately, since we had our second son 2 months ago and I have to wake up at nights, my husband tends to wake before me and take care of our 18 months son alone in the morning, while I catch some extra sleep 😊.

My husband gets up early every morning when the baby wakes up to take care of him while i sleep in.  We have a one month old too and i have been doing all of the night wakings to take care of the newborn, but my husband was also taking care of our march baby when i was pregnant so i could get some extra rest.  I'm sorry your husband snapped at you for mentioning anything to him. I hope you can get a break soon, you deserve one.

If we’re both off, we switch off. I sleep in one day, he sleeps in the next. Mainly on weekends. We both just had a week and a half off and we still did the every other day thing. Works well for us.

My husband works a lot sometimes 8am-8pm so the kids are my full time job lol. I’ve told him I really need his help for bedtime because it’s hard getting both in the bath. He will help me but there sometimes days he’s to tired but I tell him I’m tired as well. I think it will be an argument until they take bath themselves 😹

I legit have never slept in since my son was born. My husband won’t change diapers. We had a huge fight about it a week or so ago. I told him I felt like I was in prison being the sole caregiver and I couldn’t do it anymore. Good luck to you.. 😞
Basically it goes both ways for us.. Since he won’t ever get up with the baby and get him ready for the day, I don’t let him sleep in either. If I don’t get to sleep in, there’s no way he should either. So neither of us gets to sleep in. Aka we’re both cranky and tired AF. It’s lovely! 
I really don’t know what the solution is with a stubborn husband. My husband is just NOT a baby guy. If we can make it through the toddler years without getting divorced we might be okay. Lol.

My husband gets up every single morning with her and let’s me sleep in. I’m home all day and he completely appreciates how much work it is. They have their own routine in the morning and it’s really nice. He gives her a bottle then they go for long walk. She’s an early riser and he is too so it works out.

We all usually get up about the same time through the week. Also my Lo doesn’t wake up super early on the weekends so when he wakes up everyone gets up. But my hubby is very helpful with the kids. Though I do all the indoor house choirs. Cooking, cleaning, dishes, laundry. But I’m a SAHM so kind of what I signed up for 🤷‍♀️ if we both worked I would expect him to help out some with that too!

My husband and I both work full time jobs but we take turns. On the weekends, he gets up with her on Saturdays and I get up with her on Sundays. I'm a teacher so I do have breaks in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. I tend to get up with her more during those times but he still helps. He doesn't always do much more around the house as far as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. But I told him for my mental and physical health, I needed a day to sleep in every now and then. So we settled on our agreement.
