Poop ?

Question

My 10 week old started having dark green stool and I'm worried it might be a milk allergy. Taking her in to see the Dr tomorrow.  Was wondering if anyone's LO has been through this? 
It is forest green.

My son’s is like that, but he’s formula fed. From what I’ve read, it’s the iron in the formula. Are you breastfeeding? Maybe you ate something high in iron?

My formula fed baby has green poops..  peditrician said that was normal

This happened to me as well! I have a strong let down and my LO doesn’t need to suck very hard so she has a hard time getting the hindmilk. I try to keep her on one breast for a while and check to make sure it’s empty before switching. It’s takes me usually 30-45 mins to feed which sucks but the hindmilk is really important. I also started giving her a probiotic and her poops have gone back to yellow.

This happened to my son but it was lactose overload cus I have an over supply of milk and he wasn’t eating full feeds

Yes I have, except my baby also had some blood in his stool. My pediatrician said to stop eating dairy. my Lactation Consulant said it was most likely a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. I was switching breast too soon and he wasn’t getting enough hindmilk. Now I only feed on one side per session.  She said babies have a hard time digesting foremilk so the blood could have been from him straining to hard. Unfortunately I made both changes at once so I’m not sure which one helped but my babies poop went back to a more mustardy color, and no blood!
