Induction at 35+5

Being induced due to preeclampsia. I was told I was going to wait until 37 weeks to be induced but when I went to the doctor today everything changed and due to high bp they decided to induce me today. Baby is measuring small, at a little over 4 lbs. Hopefully it will be a fast and easy delivery. I’ve had one pill inserted into my cervix so far and am at 2cm dilated. Cramping is getting worse and I feel like I really need to poop due to babies head being so low. I hope she doesnt have to have a nicu stay being they don’t have a nicu here and she would need to be transferred to another hospital. Due October 22nd, but will probably be having her September 23rd.

Update: after over 30 hours of labor my daughter was born at 36 weeks exactly on September 24th at 7:33am. She was 4lbs 13oz when born and is 19 inches long. She is doing great and hasn’t needed the nicu so far but we are having trouble with her latching and sucking. I am so thankful she is okay and we should be able to take her home very soon. Time to buy a whole new wardrobe for her as absolutely nothing we have fits her.
