Why are people so quick to make assumptions 🤦🏽😬
My husband and I bought a house a few years. We’ve been looking into getting some things fixed, slowly but surely. My husband had called a roofer to come do a free estimate and gave him our basic info and said I’d be home when he comes and inspects the roof for the quote. So this guy shows up about an hour late. I come outside and he asks if my husband is there and I told him he’s a bit busy working but I’m the owner of the house as well. This guy laughs...LAUGHS IN MY FACE. I was a bit shocked and asked what was funny and he said “oh I’m sorry are you really the owner of this house?!” And I said that of course I was. THEN....I assumed that he meant because I was a woman that I couldn’t own a house and I was annoyed. The little feminist in me came out, especially because this guy was eyeing me all weird and he laughed at me. Then before I almost went off on him, he said, “ look I’m sorry but I was about to ask to speak to your parents” and I was like 🤨 why????. He said “sorry you just look too young to own a house, my bad I shouldn’t assume”
My husband was behind the door laughing his butt off.
