When did you have your first date night after having a baby?

My little boy is almost 4 months and we haven't had a date night yet. We have been on a lunch date with our son who slept through the meal which allowed us to have some quality time together.

We have had 2 real ones in the span of a year lol.  Now we just have a third wheel we take on dates but we love it!

Baby is 4 months.. we have no babysitter.. or parents to look after her.. so we go out as a three.. but it doesn't bother us.. if she goes to sleep in the evening.. we have a little date at home.. I get dressed up.. hair and make up done and we eat together or watch a movie.. having a baby hasn't stopped us from enjoying ourselves.. just the opposite.

With my first daughter we had a date night around 6 months and with my second we had a date night when she was 2 months old for our wedding anniversary. It's been a year since our last date night now though and we're finally getting a date night this weekend

She was four months old when we left her with a neighbor for two hours and went and had dinner. I wasn’t really ready before that to leave her, and i did cry. I’m glad my husband let me wait til i was ready.

I said 9-12 months, but technically we haven’t had a date night without our son yet! We’ve taken him to daycare and had lunch/movie dates though. Other than that, he comes with us for date nights (which haven’t happened since COVID). We live states away from family and friends and don’t trust anyone here to watch him, so date nights aren’t an option for us yet!
