Watery brown spotting 5 days before period

I'm really thinking this is it this time maybe I will get my positive after a year of ttc baby#1 I am hanging on to hope I have PCOS and am on metformin going on month 3 now. My so and I have been dating for 4 years and he has 2 children already. So here's the deal 9 days after my ovulation date I had dark brown watery spotting for 2 days starting 5 days before my period, I know right sounds exactly like implantation bleeding, I'm just terrified that I'm getting my hopes up for another let down. I will test in the next couple of days I just want to be able to keep my hope of a positive. Baby dust to you all😘❤️
