Those of you who got your daughters’ ears pierced before she could ask for it, when did you do it?

Apologies if it’s been asked recently..
And please, no hate. I’m just asking a question.

My parents got mine done by the pediatrician when I was a few months old. By second grade I asked for 2nd holes, then in 6th grade I started piercing other parts of my ear. I never felt like my parents did me a disservice by piercing my ears early.
My sister elected to get her girls ears pierced when they were 6-9 months. They love their earrings.
I haven’t decided exactly when I’m going to pierce my daughters ears (she’s not here yet). My husband thinks babies will pull on them and wants to wait a little while, but I disagree.

We have a family tradition, 10 yrs for the first piercing, 16 for the 2nd and 18 for the 3rd. That's if they want it. We all wanted it...
