Partner all the way on board?

Anyone else feels like their husband/ partner is just going with the flow? I feel like he is just going along with what I want . I told him I wanted a baby and ASAP and he just agreed. I don’t necessarily know if that is what he wants. Maybe he is just trying not disappoint me? He has two adult children and im starting to wonder if it’s really a good idea for him to have a newborn baby and and in 6 years he will be 60. Should I put my selfish wants aside and really sit down with him and make sure this is what he wants?
