Am I not a priority?

Question

How come my boyfriend sticks to his plans on going out with his friends but never sticks to plans with me? He told me he was gonna take me out on a date today, never even mentioned it AGAIN but he goes and calls his friends to make plans for the week. The last time he promised me a date, the day of he didn’t mention it and left me at home to go play basketball. I don’t have any friends, I stay home with our daughter so it makes me feel really bad.

You need to communicate to him that he needs to make you a priority. If he cannot make you and your child a priority then he has no respect for you. He cannot just be selfish and only think about himself he has a family. If he cannot do this then I’d leave because there are men out there that will make you a priority. I’m not saying find another man I’m just saying there are better men out there that will make you the center of their life. Real affectionate love! I know I have one. Take it from someone that was married and had two kids to a narcissist that degraded me every day by calling me names and making fun of me for crying. I left him and now I have the most loving husband I couldn’t of asked for a better man.

I understand where you’re coming from, I would feel that way too. But maybe it would help if you communicated it? Like a “hey I always notice you do this” “are we still going on a date today” “where should we go on our date today”
