Induction became a c-section

💙

So long story short i was induced and the contractions were intense (I was at 3cm) and I finally broke down and got the epidural (best decision ever). After being rolled over multiple times to keep his heart beat, they discovered that the contractions would cause his heart rate to drop once they stopped so they had to stop my contractions. My ob made a decision that it was safer to perform a C- section while it was early (because it was clear he couldn't stand the contractions) instead of waiting until it was an emergency so I was prepped for that and ready to go. I prayed about it a lot, and thankfully with medication and Gods help I was calm through the entire procedure (and sleepy) and at 7:56 baby Kaiden made his way into the world crying loudly even when he was taken back to be cleaned up.

Do I feel like a failure because the induction was failed? Absolutely not.

Do I feel weak for getting an epidural so early? Absolutely not.

At 7:56 am on 09/24/20 I birthed a beautiful 7 pound healthy baby boy and I couldn't be more thankful enough. God has been with me through the entire journey and has kept his hand over my baby and I (and my husband was there too and was a good support person), but now I have a healthy beautiful baby boy that every nurse that has held him has fallen in love with him.

God is good.

To the ladies who still haven't had their babies yet, my prayers are with you💙
