Why does my cycle vary from 28-40 day cycle ? Every month it’s 28 then 40 ... am I even ovulating ? I tested for ovulation on cycle day 14 and cycle day 21 , even though cycle day 14 test trip was slight darker I still feel like somethings off !

I’ve been told that if your cycle is longer than 35 days it’s unlikely ovulation occurred. 
And for opk testing you probably need to test everyday from CD 14-28 so you don’t miss it.

That's what happens for a lot of women with pcos, irregular cycles so it's hard to pinpoint when ovulation happens. You should start using ovulation tests starting with maybe cycle day 9-10 and just take them until you get a positive. If you only tested cd 14 and 21 you might have missed it or it hasn't happened yet.
