Reflux dangerous?

Is acid reflux dangerous? My son has it and it’s been worse lately and my mom was like ‘ I don’t want to scare you but my friend had to call 911 when her daughter was young because she choked and went blue from reflux’
My pediatrician said its really common and said nothing about it being a danger. Now I’m freaked out. Ugh!

Two of my three have choked and gone blue from reflux. They'd spit up so violently that it came from their nose and I'd have to turn them on their bellies and pat their back until their noses cleared. The very first time it happened, my husband was actually dialing 911 when I got his nose clear. But we never had to call 911 after that.
My oldest never choked on it after 2 months. And my little one just turned 3 months and it hasn't happened to him in 3 weeks. Curiously, my middle one never had reflux at all. I don't think he spit up once. But my oldest and my youngest.. jeez, I'm pretty sure they took 5 years off my lifespan each from how many times they scared me nearly to death.

Following... my son’s reflux keeps
Me up at night. Sometimes o things he’s choking from all the sounds he’s making. It seemed to get worse now that he’s 3 months. We have a GI appointment in 2weeks.

It is really common and most of the time it’s not crazy dangerous but babies have definitely choked on spit up from acid reflux

I wouldn’t say that it’s dangerous, but something like that could happen. It happened to my cousin’s daughter.  She had reflux like super bad tho.
