Is anyone with me?

Question

I would love to start trying again for baby #2 when our November baby turns 1, but I also really want to avoid having a newborn in cold and flu season like with this one. My son got RSV at 5 weeks old last year and I don’t want to see this happen again! But I also have crazy baby fever and don’t want to wait until like May to start trying again so that baby will be born after flu season is over lol. Am I just being totally crazy?

You are not crazy!! I told my husband when our baby was 6 months old, for the next one i refuse to have another winter baby. The fear of flu and rsv was debilitating and being stuck inside with little sunshine was so hard postpartum. Found out a few weeks ago I’m unexpectedly pregnant again and due mid May! It made me feel a lot better!

Not crazy. I’m one and done. We had planned to have our son in early 2020 but clearly that went out the window when he was born November 2019.

no, not crazy! I am in the same boat but tempted to wait just because all the babies in our family are born Sept-Nov so we have like 5 birthday parties in 3 months so I feel like I should wait to have a spring birthday lol but oh well! Going to go for it anyway 😊

I’m 5 weeks pregnant now due the end of may and think that’s a great time of the year as I’ll be off on maternity leave over the summer and my mum is a teacher so will be free jul and aug to help out. I wouldn’t have planned it like this on purpose though, I found it more important to have kids close in age which is something they benefit from all their lives in my opinion, than wait half a year just to have a newborn outside of flu season.
