Whats this mean

I’ve been friends with a guy I know for 12 years. We never done anything until yesterday. We began to have a pillow fight ( I know it sounds silly). While we did that we froze and stared each other in the eye. I laughed and said why are we starring. I felt butterflies. And shyly looked away. He said hey look at me. His stare into my eyes was breathtaking. We moved our faces closer and kissed. We fell into removing our clothes and led to sexy... I’m normally one to keep my eyes closed but while we were having sex I opened my eyes and he was starring at me. Into my eyes heavy and looking at my body. He told ma don’t be shy and look into his eyes. Soooo can someone tell me what that means when someone is looking into your eyes while having sex..
