Baby can't be sleep trained

I can't sleep train my almost 1 year old daughter because she screams like she being murdered if you don't pick her up from the crib, especially if you walk out of the room. Husband and MIL refuse to let her scream and learn to calm down on her own so there's no way for her to learn to fall asleep on her own. I'm the one that puts her to sleep at night and I'm 4"11 and already have issues laying her down on the second setting. I don't know what they expect me to do when we lower the crib again and she wakes up screaming when I'm trying to lay her down because I'll be too short to lay her down without her waking up and screaming to be pulled out.
