HCG quadrupled in 48 hours??

Question

Tuesday I was only 41.5, Thursday I was 177... so it more than quadrupled.  What does this mean?!

This just means that your levels are going up as they should!! YAY!!! It’s very common to more than double! You just want them to Atleast double every 48 hours. 
Hcg levels are not a very reliable way to determine if there are multiples (if that’s what you were wondering) as  hcg levels can vary drastically for everyone for different pregnancy’s. I myself have had 3 singleton pregnancys and one twin pregnancy and my hcg hormone was much higher and quadrupled with my 3rd singleton vs the twins. However some mothers do experience higher levels/ faster rise with multiples  it varies for everyone. hope this was helpful 😊

It could mean multiple gestation as well. Mine was sky high after re checks and I was pregnant with quints.
