Okay so me and my boyfriend are both at different unis. Lately it's Been getting a bit harder. My boyfriend has a history of depression and anxiety which he worked on and it got better for him. However since coming to uni it's started to get worse again and it's taking a toll on our relationship because he isn't as affvetionate or seeming like he can be bothered. I know it's because he can't help it and depression isn't something you can switch off. So can someone give me tips on dealing with it or how to help him the best I can. Because I don't know how to act towards him if I should be affectionate or what I should say?

I'm not going to break up with him when he's going through something like that it isn't his fault. I just feel like he's pushing me away

He should get help. You are not a professional. Most universities have free counseling for students. Tell him to go speak to the counselor.
