Has anyone had an ex that’s cheated but then tried to get you back by being manipulative?

Yes. My children’s father. Left him 3 years ago and he still tries to butter me up. I can see past his facade and sure enough, every time I reject him he becomes increasingly hostile. Then he texts me “why are we arguing” or “I don’t want to be on bad terms”. Like fam, YOU’RE the one in a bad mood, not me. This was yesterday. Proof is in the pudding.

Not personally, but sounds common...and crappy.   I had an ex I caught cheating told me that it's my fault I didnt trust him. Like how? LOL. Thank god we went our separate ways and didnt look back

Yep! I had an abusive ex, I blocked his number and he texted me from another number using "inside jokes" and bringing up good memories to try to get me back and make me think things were good. 
I told him to f*ck off and blocked that number haha
