Breastfeeding mommas. Do you guys let your LO’s nurse to sleep?

I started off exclusively pumping but I have recently reintroduced the breast. I’ve also noticed a big difference in my baby’s behavior since I started breastfeeding him. Sometimes he will signal that he’s hungry right after he has a bottle. I’ll keep adding an ounce or two to a bottle but he’ll keep doing it. He usually has 3 oz bottles of breastmilk and tonight he had 5.75 oz bc he kept signaling that he was hungry. He spit it all up bc obviously that’s a lot for him. I put him to bed and he was signaling that he was hungry which I knew he wasn’t so I gave him a binky, but he kept doing it. At this point it’s obvious he wants the boob but I hear it’s a bad habit to break. He also likes sleeping in my bed next to me and he knows if he breastfeeds he gets to cuddle. I ended up giving in and he’s been on me for about 45 minutes using me as a paci. Completely cuddled up on me like a spider monkey! I’m newish to breastfeeding and it’s just weird to see such a change in my baby ... is this normal for breastfed babies? What do you guys do?

Bed sharing can be done safely. Yes, I'm serious.
I'm just saying so y'all mommas can stop panicking (I full on freaked out with my first because of this.)
If you keep the bed sharing safety rules, risk of SIDS is the same as este crib sleeping. So if you find your baby refuses to sleep anywhere but with you in your bed, look up the rules, secure your bed, and relax!

It sounds like your baby realized that sometimes milk comes with cuddles, and wants more cuddles. Try giving him the bottle while you hold him in a close embrace and see it if makes a difference!

My little one loves cuddling and being held to sleep.
Most of the time she naps on me during the day... Baby wearing for the win lol 😂 She's usually hungry waking up and doesn't want milk when she goes to sleep so even when she gives hunger cues, she'll just press her lips to the boob or her face to the underside of it and falls asleep. It's about the cuddle and not even about sucking.
In the evening, she likes nursing to sleep just as much as cuddling. She either falls asleep in my arms or in my bed, and I'll sneak her into the crib. Sometimes during night feedings I fall asleep, so all night nursing happens in the bed in side lying position. It's fine, I secured my bed so it's safe and daddy is also well versed in the matter.

My first was a little boobie monster. For 20 months I could only get her to sleep by nursing (grandma or daddy could rock her to sleep too but I had functioning boobs so she wouldn't accept rocking from me.)
She also refused to sleep in her crib completely, so eventually I read up on how to secure my bed and we did bed sharing for two years. (I'm not joking when I say she absolutely refused: she did most of her day naps either on me or in my bed, we got rid of her crib when she was half a year and then got her a big girl bed for the transition at two years old when she was old enough to get enthusiastic about having a bed all to herself...)

Breastfeeding is not solely for feeding, babies nurse for a whole host of reasons. 
I used to think of my little girl using me as a dummy, then I realised the dummy is being used a nipple and it’s completely normal for baby to want to be close to the breast.
As frustrating as it can be when your LO wants to nurse, I allow her to so long as she’s not hurting me.
Time goes by and they grow so quickly, that one day soon you’ll want these days back.

My baby sleeps in my bed and does the same thing but not every night. I honestly just let him. I lay down when I feed him and if using me as a pacifier calms him down I just let him because he will not take a pacifier in bed at all he gets this disgusted look on his face when I put it in is mouth lol he’s like I’m that’s not nipple 😂

If he falls asleep while nursing I will wake him so he gets a full feed but I will NEVER nurse to sleep again after my experience with my daughter. Having to sleep train a baby isn’t worth it when I could have just not instilled such a bad sleep attachment to nursing. All babies need some degree of sleep training (if you chose) but nursing to sleep really set us up for disaster when it came time to teaching her to fall asleep on her own.

I breastfed with a nipple shield at first and she would feed then pop off when she was done. Once i removed the shield, like you say, she changed! She just wanted to be at the boob constantly and at first i didnt think anything of it and then i realised she was using me as a dummy. Very rarely ill let her stay there for a bit but most times when i notice shes finished nursing i take her straight off. She always cries loudly when i take her off the boob but she settles after a few minutes. Im being quite stubborn with her lol shes stuck on me most of the day as it is i dont have time to be a human dummy as well 😂

I have no advice, but I’m going through the same thing. My little is refusing to sleep in his bassinet and crib now because he wants to be somewhere near me or on me. It’s so dangerous for him to sleep in bed with me, but he refuses to sleep alone and I can’t stay awake all night. Sigh. 
Hopefully they outgrow the habit before we have to force them to break it.
