Too excited to keep quiet!

I told my parents and in-laws as soon as the test was positive. My parents are coming for thanksgiving and my in-laws are coming for Christmas. Apparently my dad has a huge mouth and honestly doesn't want to wait until Christmas for me to announce to the rest of the world/family we're expecting. My in-laws are a vault! Everywhere online says wait till 12 weeks but should I really? It's our first and thanksgiving is 8 weeks. Thoughts!?!
