Any tips before joining a dating app? This isn’t my first time using one but I haven’t been on one in ages!

Please be careful is the first thing. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. There are a lot of people who catfish and use people and take advantage. If their profile picture has a dog, if they claim they are in the military, or an engineer, or work on an oil rig, or they ask for money or gift card or your bank info that they want to deposit money, it is a catfish. Always ask for proof of life. Video, live video like FaceTime. If they use WhatsApp, it’s probably a catfish. Some Nigerian dude that is a scammer. With a white guys picture. If he has 2 first names. David Allan, john Daniels probably a scammer. Happened to me. ￼the other things that you gotta watch out for is the hook up guy that tells you what you want to hear to get what they want and when they don’t get it quick enough, they ghost you. It’s not you, they want someone that hooks up quickly. They aren’t looking for a relationship they just want to hook up. Never give them your address or bank info. Meet in a public place. Always make sure you have an exit. With abductions and human trafficking, you have to be careful.
