Curl cream ... mixed hair help?

So my son’s curls have gotten a bit out of control and keep getting tangled. I bought some curl cream because nothing else was working. Leave in conditioners for babies didn’t work, olive oil, coconut oil, etc all didn’t work (left his hair really greasy but still tangled!).

The curl cream works AMAZING. He went from frizzy breaking tangled hair to really nice defined curls

Buttttt....

The curl cream says to use after washing. We only wash once a week, can I still put it on every day despite that?

Also, for a one year old, how often do you fix their curls? Even with the cream, if I go all day without combing and fixing his curls at least twice, they’re hopelessly tangled by bed time (the tiny curls right at the base of his skull mostly)

Dad’s hair his very textured so nothing like LO’s and mine is as straight as it can get so nothing like LO’s so we have quite a learning curve here.

Any advice welcome as I’d really like to get a good routine down before he gets more hair. If we’re having problems with this little bit I can’t imagine when he has a head full 😂
