Can stress cause a miscarriage?

My nanny has been took into hospital her kidneys have shut down and it’s not looking good they have give her maybe a few days to live! I can’t stop crying and stressing I can’t believe this :( I’m 6weeks

I can’t believe so many believe that stress can cause miscarriage. That’s a total misconception and not true at all.

Miscarriages are generally due to chromosomal abnormalities not anything you do. People say stress does but then people also loose their whole families and have healthy babies in war and other extreme disasters so i honestly wouldnt add that stress.

My dad suddenly passed away during my early first pregnancy and I then miscarried. I was assured by multiple OB that stress doesn’t actually cause miscarriage and it was a terrible coincidence

They say it doesn’t but I think It does. I was stressed with school and work and lost the baby, but could have been something else. You can never really know

No you don’t miscarry from stress! Stress is not good for the baby but it won’t make you miscarry unless your body undergoes so much physical and emotional stress constantly, like for example if you live in a war zone it’s possible but still not likely. What you’re describing will not hurt your baby.
