Ectopic pregnancy

Ariana
I found out Monday that at 5 weeks and three days I was having an ectopic pregnancy. I woke up that morning covered in blood and immediately went to the hospital. There they performed a pelvic exam, and three ultrasounds. They confirmed that the baby was growing in my right Fallopian tube. At the time, there was no heartbeat. The doctors decided that they could treat it medically instead of surgically. I'm currently on methotrexate, a chemotherapy drug that attacks any buildup a of cells where they shouldn't be. There is only a 60% chance the meds will work, so we are waiting to hear if they did. If not, I still have to get surgery. This was one of the most intense moments of my life, and with there being a 2% chance that this could happen, it's really hard for me to deal with.
