Is being induced more painful?

So I’m getting induced on the 9th and I’m nervous my sister told me when she had my nephew and the induced her it’s way more painful then when she did it naturally. I’ve given birth 3 times but I’ve never been induced before any advice is it way more painful?

I was induced and it wasn’t painful at all. I got an epidural that took care of the pain. It did take a while though. Around 24 hours from time
Of inducing to when my daughter was born.

Get an epidural asap!! I have had one induced and one natural. The natural no drugs was a piece of cake compared to the induced.

I was induced with no pain relief. I was in labour 10min following the induction and it was a fast delivery but so painful.

Depends on what kind of induction. 
Foley catheter and the cervix softening pills are mostly annoying, and then gradually more painful as contractions starts. It takes longer for everything to happen so you get used to the pain, so more natural. 
Pitocin starts your contractions, many times without your body being ready. And this hurt like crazy. There's a reason they recommend an epidural when getting pitocin.

Do you get an epidural or do you have unmedicated births? If you get the epidural there really is no difference. If you go unmedicated it is definitely more intense. I was induced with my 5th pregnancy. Prior to that one I had been able to labor to a 6-7 until having an epidural or have unmedicated births. My induction baby I labored to a 4 and was stuck there for 8 hours. I finally just said give me the epidural. Time from them telling me I was a 4 the last time until getting the epidural was 15 minutes. Immediately after getting the epidural my water broke and the total time from epidural to birth was 23 minutes. I really think my body was fighting the induction and getting the epidural allowed me to relax enough that things progressed.

I had the epidural but they turned it off for pushing, the labor pains were comparable to a kidney stone getting stuck and not passing. I don’t think being induced influenced the pain of pushing an almost 9 pound baby out.

Mostly because the drug pitocin is a bitch!! Literally it makes every feel much worse. If you haven’t thought of a pain management for labor please consider anything. I’ve been out on it each time during labor and that’s immediately when I got an epidural because I took that pain once with my first because I was so afraid and I wouldn’t wish that labor experience on anyone. It was very bad for me. And the doctors didn’t take much time to explain or help me find ways through it so I hated it. Labors after that have been so smooth
