Compliment vs dislike
Okay, My female cousin mentioned that her mil always says that her son/daughter has almond-shaped eyes or Asian eyes, so she doesn’t know if she should take a passive-aggressive insult or a liking to almond eyes. Her mother in law is aware of our grandfather being part Asian and will pull her eyes taunt when mentioning her grandchildren’s eye shape. It’s has been a constant thing she brings up to her by saying oh, her or his eyes are getting more almond-shaped or changing. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ I think it’s an insult. She felt that telling her mil, “ well, my grandfather is Asian,” thinking it would shut the lady up, but it hasn’t.
* This lady son has a daughter (her granddaughter) that has a lazy eye “ exotropia ( turns out) “ and never mentions it to the father or brings it up but yet she will tell my cousin (kids) about her grandchildren having Asian/almond eyes, which they don’t. 🙄
