Is pregnancy for you & your family (SO & KID/S) OR Is it for everyone else (extended family ect.)?

I feel like my extended family and society views things such as wedding, baby showers, gender reveals, adult birthdays, pregnancy, birth ect as something that must be "shared" or is "not just for you" being the pregnant person ect. Curious if others have the same thought?

No, I'm not a mean person/negative Nancy. I just feel that not all things need to be shared or for others. Sometimes things need to be for yourself. 😉🤰
