Will starting BC a week before my cycle delay it?

My doc said I could start talking the pill a week before my cycle, so I did. But my period feels like it's coming anyway. Sore boobs, bloat, spotting, the whole thing. I also have this heavy achy feeling in my pelvis. Anyone else experience this?

Is it the first time you've started the pill? It may be your body adjusting to the hormone change. It will delay your period, you'll most likely have your period the week you take the sugar pills. (I say most likely because i bled for like a day then it stopped, and that was my period when i started my first pack of bc)
