Pcos and metformin

I was recently diagnosed with pcos and I have been put on metformin I have been on this for just over a month now and I got my first period last week which was great after 9months of not having one, anyone been in a similar situation? Wondering if anyone ovulated on their own after taking metformin I really hope I do,
