Did metformin help you lose weight?

I have pcos and wondering if it helps and also if you can take it with clomid?

I lost 20 pounds after I started taking metformin.  I have been on it for a few months now. I was taking clomid  with it but recently switched to femara.

I lost weight but only because it made me so, so ill. I took mine with Femara.

I’ve been on it 8 weeks and lost 28ib! It’s also helping regulate my periods and ovulation!

I've been taking metformin for 8 months now and haven't lost any weight while on it. Even though I lost 30lb before being put on it. Even on the same diet as before I haven't lost weight. But i haven't gained weight either. Not on Clomid, but hoping if this cycle doesn't work out that my doctor will prescribe it.
