Potty training

I have a 15M old little boy and lately he has been tugging and taking off his diapers. So I was thinking about transitioning him to pull ups and attempting the potty. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and would like to hopefully maybe have my son somewhat potty trained by the time baby #2 arrives. I have heard it’s harder and takes longer to potty train a boy. But I am going to start trying anyways. So how did you start the transition? Did you buy a little potty, etc?
